Meet the Founder
Sarah Terer
Sarah is a current senior in high school from New Jersey. Born and raised in a Kenyan household to immigrant parents, Sarah has always been passionate about helping those around her. Sarah is an avid volunteer with the American Red Cross, Hackensack Meridian Health, and is involved in a total of 4 clubs guided toward giving back to those who are struggling. She currently has 3 published articles in Teen Magazine under Student Life, and she plans on writing more on guiding people toward their best pathway in life. Sarah’s second world is in competitive dance based in Lyndhurst NJ, where she is a junior apprentice and assistant dance teacher to roughly 30 kids. She is also a part of “Hometown Glory,” where she gives back to her local community by fundraising with fulfilling organizations such as the Samaritan’s Purse. During her time at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, as a part of the National Student Leadership Conference, she was surprised to see how quickly medical teams collaborated under pressure, seamlessly coordinating their efforts to save lives. The intense atmosphere was filled with urgency, but the professionals moved with a sense of purpose and focus that she hadn’t expected. Throughout her life, she has met countless fascinating people who went through or are currently enduring, discrepancies in their health, and now she wants to raise awareness. Notably, she has earned a certificate of selection for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence from the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists. Sarah cannot wait to give back with her own initiatives and serve worldwide, by informing various communities online, from the touch of a post, article, or event.
